Title: pilates post hysterectomy

Not now obviously but planning ahead and wondering if anyone knows at what stage Pilates can be started after hysterectomy? Need something to plan and look towards

I'm really not sure - I had to have 6 weeks off all exercise just after an eye operation!  I think I would contact your class or sports centre and ask them, they should know how long it will take to recover.

Hi. If you have a follow up appointment with your surgeon,  I would check with them. I waited about 10 weeks before starting yoga again which I modified,  and was scared about over doing it. Just take care,  take it slowly,  and enjoy x

Hi, i would wait until 12 weeks. After my hysterectomy I went back to zumba after 12 weeks & that was just comfortable. Take it slowly & enjoy x
