I'm new to the forum & new to all things Menopause, learning something new everyday about it. After 3 years of increasingly worsening symptoms and being referred to various specialists, umpteen tests, trials of different medications etc (thinking I was losing the plot!) it was a trainee GP who thought it might be menopause related symptoms I was displaying. I had initially gone to GP 3 years ago thinking it was early menopause (37 years of age) but bloods were normal so told no. And so I am on HRT following advice from Menopause specialist. Hopeful that my sleep at least will improve (it is torture not being able to sleep). P.S Thanks to everyone who posts, your information & advice has been invaluable to me.

Hi Foxylady....
Hope the hrt works for you and gets you some relief, if not, there's others you can try, don't give up....good luck....it's a nightmare isn't it, this meno crap!
Ask away, anything you want to know, there's always someone on to give advice...

Thanks girls for making me so welcome!! I just feel so frustrated that it took so long to get diagnosed (looks like this is common though from what I've read) when I could have been taking HRT especially when I have strong family history of osteoperosis. Would have saved alot of heartache and angst. The BBC Breakfast menopause week last week was really good #rockmymenopause is a good resource, although Menopause Matters would take beating!!

:welcomemm: Foxylady. I hope you start to see good results in the coming weeks. There is always a mad meno lady around for help on here. Such a good resource and a wonderful place to just have a rant if that is what is needed with no judging
