Title: Seaside
Post by: VioletAquarius on April 11, 2024, 10:27:32 PM
Looking to go away for a few days to the seaside.

Want to go somewhere in walking distance from accommodation to shops, arcades, promenade, etc, but want plenty of shops, cafes, etc.

Somewhere like ingoldmells, Skegness, bridlington, Scarborough, Blackpool, but I've been to all these places numerous times before and would like to try somewhere different.  Or, alternatively, no shops, promenade, etc, just somewhere with nice walks instead, as we will have our dog,

Can anyone recommend anywhere please?

Today I would go to Brighton.  Hove. Long proms for good brisk walking.  Check the beach availability for dogs as many towns have months where they aren't allowed on the beach or off lead.

Old Hunstanton, North Norfolk Coast.

Northumberland is lovely as is the Lake District - as long the weather is fine  ::).  We stayed in Keswick in the 1990s, handy for Ashness Bridge and similar.

Shall I fire up the charabanc ?  ;)
