Has anyone had this done ?.
I was at the GP this morning due to on going stomach pain. She wants me to make an appointment for a breath test. I have to stop taking any ant acids for two weeks and then to go in for a test. She said I have to do it twice but I am not sure how long the gap is between tests.
I have had this test before the breath tests was developed. I had a biopsy done. She is looking for an ulcer which I'm sure I don't have.
I have also to put in a urine test and have bloods done.
Going to be a while before it's done as I'm off on holiday tomorrow.
She was also pretty sure it was just my IBS, so came out clutching a prescription for yet more meds which I hate. So prefer to go the natural route but it's been beyond that lately. Need to bring on the strong stuff to get this sorted.
Any feed back on the test ?

No, but go with the flow! It sounds as if your GP is being thorough and covering all bases, just to make sure. Being reassured will help.

HB - the treatment for ulcers used to be surgery!
Now antibiotics appear to sort it out
Natural might be good, but which is better AntiBs or surgery?
Whatever, enjoy your holiday
