The secret of happy people is apparently gratitude - the ability to count blessings despite other tat we have to deal with. Starting off the day thinking of blessings rather than our curses can put us on the right tracks.
So.... three things you're grateful for each day?
Mine for today:
1. My girls have been lovely today, no squabbling but just lots of lively and fun chats.
2. It's bank holiday - yay! Even though I work for myself and will still be working in between, it's just that holiday atmosphere I love
3. Green sludge, aka vegetable juice. It may not be chocolate but it's doing my digestive system the world of good and I'm eating around 10 a day at the moment and feeling rather pious :)

1 a loving husband
2 a husband to remains well
3 a husband who can 'do' (DIY, drive, offer comfort, suggest when I need to eat (recovering anorexic), suggest when I
should take my emergency anxiety pill )
-
My kids. They really are great.
My hubby, bless him, he puts up with me.
And the fact I get to waken up in the morning to another day....be what it may I'm lucky to have it.

3. Despite the limitations of my anxiety, I can do what I like, when I like.

My hubby, first & foremost. Without him I'd be lost!
My kids, who although they still drive me mad at times, I love to bits.
A roof over my head.

Great thread 😘
1) my children and grandchildren 💕(each has something medical to deal with, and they deal with it remarkably)
2) my dear parents (RIP) 💓💓 who taught me it's not all about possessions
3) my dear OH, who is my best friend too, who puts me before himself ♥️

Today I am grateful for:
1. A lovely start to the day. Kids are sleeping, sun is shining, I can hear the birds singing. Perfect.
2. A full fridge rather than the usual scrabble through the cupboards for something to eat
3. My lovely campervan - all happy and shiny and ready for a day out.

1. My lovely husband, who is tired and stressed now due to hard work this week, but who is always kind and says money/time is no object in terms of getting me better.
2. Lovely children, who are healthy and good company.
3. I'm not in the Big Brother House [I have only watched bits when channel surfing last night - first time ever. Wouldn't it be awful if life landed from outer space and found that first? Although they would perhaps leave immediately - so I suppose one could say BB has one use...]

- My OH, who understands me well
- That OH now seems to have recovered from recent health problems
- A lovely, dry, spring day

A nice home.

Ohhhh, a Maine Coone, a gloriously regal animal that you don't see all that often :cat88:
My son and family live by a lake in Maine in the hot summer months, where coons (known over here as Great Northern Divers) come to reside in the summer months as well. Many years they bring up a fledgling. They keep a healthy distance from humans, but come and inspect what's going on if there's any activity. You hear their ghostly call day and night. Yes, very regal and wonderful to watch.
-

Poppi x

Hello Poppi, I spent a lifetime being three quarters empty. You have to get to rock bottom to start to find the way up and you cannot do it without help. These days I find I am only half empty and a lot of the time I can be half full. I am getting there but you do need support and to rid your life of people who drag you down.
-
I agree about ditching those who drain us! I have one person left in my Life who does that, the rest I put to one side years ago ;-)
