Peculiar Nob, Titwobble Lane, Windy Saddle, Pensioners Bush and Intercourse Island are among the actual place names featured on a new map of Australia.
The country's rudest and funniest place names have been highlighted by British company Strumpshaw, Tincleton & Giggleswick.
Company founder Humphrey Butler says that Tasmania has a particularly high concentration of colourful names.
"One of the things that I think make the Aussie map is that there are quite a few places that sound really, really Australian," he told the BBC.
"There's a place called Dinkum, there's a place called Mate, there's a place called Bruce as well."
The idea came to Mr Butler after he escaped a corporate job in London and took a road trip around Britain in a "knackered old car".
"When you're travelling like that, you look at map and road signs and notice all these funny sounding place names," he said.
The thought kicked in: how many of these places are there?
He lists his personal favourites as Lovely Bottom in Tasmania, Humpty Do in the Northern Territory and Windy Saddle in Victoria.
"There are a lot of Knobs in Australia," he said.
"There are hundreds and hundreds of Knobs all over Australia but there is one called Prominent Nob in South Australia and that does make us laugh."

When I'm travelling round the UK I will make notes of our 'rude' place names ;-)

I like the sound of the name of a village called Piddletrenthide - it's in the Piddle Valley in Dorset & the River Piddle runs through it.

We have quite a few rude place names in Ireland. There's Muff in Co.Donegal. Along the coast, has a diving club. Yes really!
Also Fannystown, Lower Balix, Slutsend, Doodys Bottom and Fartrim ;D

This is an old topic, but I've been reading though looking for a laugh!
Reminds me of a book my brother in law gave me years and years ago, called The Meaning Of Liff. It's available on PDF online.
"The Meaning of Liff by Douglas Adams and John Lloyd. All of the words are actually place names, taken from signposts and maps mostly from locations in the UK, but also from the rest of the planet. These place names are matched with meanings that don't yet have words of their own, usually with very humorous results. In Life*, there are many hundreds of common experiences, feelings, situations and even objects which we all know and recognize, but for which no words exist.
On the other hand, the world is littered with thousands of spare words which spend their time doing nothing but loafing about on signposts pointing at places.
Our job, as we see it, is to get these words down off the signposts and into the mouths of babes and sucklings and so on, where they can start earning their keep in everyday conversations and make a more positive contribution to society."
My very favourite is FRIMLEY: The exaggerated carefree saunter adopted by Norman Wisdom as an immediate prelude to dropping down an open manhole.
