Regrettably my hair is, and always has been very fine  :'(. However I can't say I've ever experienced shedding, even after pregnancy - despite perms at the time!

My body hair has always been sparse and the only change I've had with T is that it the small amount I have grows faster, oh and that my eyelashes and eyebrows have improved - they were depleted during peri.
Sorry I couldn't help more.

I haven't noticed any difference except it grew blacker and longer on the thigh only where I applied it. I haven't had a problem with hair shedding though.

Sammie. I havent noticed any improvement since starting testogel almost a year ago

When I first started my hair and skin went a bit greasy which is unusual for me but that seemed to settle.

My hair has been greasier on HRT, more falls out, more regularly than before meno, but doesn't appear to be too bad, just more noticeable because I have fine hair and not a lot of it.  I can find no pattern and I wouldn't consider it to be "shedding".  I just have a little less hair but no bald patches, except a bit of thinning at the temples but I put Plantur tonic on those or you could use hairfix and it grows back but you have to keep it up.

ladybt28, what is making it grow back, do plantur do a special spray etc, to make it grow back, or the hairfix? never heard of that,
Disdn't know plantur did a hair growth  tonic, although i have used plantur shampoo

Jaycee the plantur hair tonic makes it grown back but you have to keep using it.  Its like a liquid, not a spray and you sprinkle some drops onto where the hair is thin, along the parting or the temples or the crown and rub in last thing at night.  Keep doing it and you will see all the new little hairs growing whispy bits.  But if you stop then the growth seems to stop and they fall out again.

Hairfix is a similar thing and you can get it and try it totally free from a well known shopping channel.  (Just google hairfix and it should come up because only 2 places sell it in the UK I think)  I think the trial is 90 days at the moment on QVC (they always have a 30 day money back guarantee on everything but some things they do longer and this is one of them)and if it doesn't work for you just send back what you haven't used and the give you a full refund, except the delivery postage and return postage.  Hairfix is quite expensive but it's quite good but if you only have the postage to lose then its worth a go.  Neither of them work quick but if you stick at it I found that it certainly helps to fill in gaps and grow new hair if of course the bulb in the scalp is not completely dead.

ladybt28 thank you,i didn't know plantur did anything like this,i got the plantur from Boots, but didn't see this,i will have a look online and also QVC for the hairfix, did you try one before the other,or together
I need to try something, according to the derm i have been seeing je said the roots are still there and hair will come back ,but no sign yet,
I have to see him after the summer,he said i should have seen some growth by then
I have looked on Amazon. but there are a few different plantur tonics,a 21 and a 39, which one is it.
Thought i would ask before i ordered

I am also using the Plantur tonic and find it makes your hair look thicker in the area of loss I have. it's called Plantur 39 phyto caffeine tonic. I bought it in Boots in store but I think you can get it on line. It ?9.99 or ?10. 99 in boots or it was a month a two ago when I bought it. I am also taking high dose iron from dermatologist I saw in February but I think we had that conversation separately.

Not sure whether to order the plantur tonic or not, bot much good if hair falls out again if you stop, i need something to help grow it though,it wont make it look thicker on thin parts as at the moment there is nothing to look thicker, but hair roots are still there apparently

To be honest Jaycee, you can only try.  I don't know of a way to ensure that the hair that grows remains.  I was rubbing it into my bald patches on the temples and all these whispy hairs grew back and so now don't have bald temples because it is growing out.  Its a pain to have to continue but I don't like the bald bits.  The Hairfix works the same way.  I only used it for a time because it is expensive and then continued on with the Plantur tonic.  I think another lady on here has continued with the hairfix maybe she can say whether the hair remains better with the hairfix if you stop?
