I fed my almost tame blackbirds during the afternoon :). They hop really close and give a soft chortle when they expect grub.
I'm sure we have a similar thread but can't find it :-\

The sun is shining and I bit the bullet and rang my employer who is now very supportive and encouraging me to stay off until I am fully recovered :) Weight off my mind x I also booked airport transfers - and on top of that I start new estrogel and testosterone - fingers crossed :)

I had my hair cut and am pleased the result.
The blackbirds seem tame in our garden. DH feeds the birds and they follow around. DH used to say to the kids when they when out and about not to speak to any strange blackbirds! Yep, he's a nutcase!

Thank you so much brighteyes, she is doing an art/textiles foundation year so hopefully will give her more of a guidance which path to take. Xx

Oh well done to your daughter. My daughter did an art foundation course and absolutely loved it. Met her lovely partner on that course..........! Have a lovely GS, all due to that course! ::)

Congratulations to your daughter and wishing her well for the future.
Today is good because all our family is coming up for the weekend and I will see all my (grown up) children and two thirds of my grandchildren this weekend (have 3 will see 2) :ola:

GS is here today with his usual bounce and happiness. Last time we look after him on a Friday until half term as he starts school. Hasn't time flown? Instead, I'll be meeting him from school sometimes.

Enjoy your day juju xx I have been keeping my GD on Thursday evenings to save on crèche fees. Im off work now to end of September and DD has asked can I do 2 nights for the month until she stops on maternity leave :spin:
After really good advice on here my DH and I stepped away from some unacceptable behaviours of DD but hey it's not too bad as we have been still very involved with GD - long may it continue ;)

so long as you have boundaries and she knows where she stands you should do ok. We had to do this with someone who was draining us.

It wasn't the dish-washer that had leaked but the rain storm which had forced it's way through single glazing and under the back door :o so we had to do a Big Mop Up at 10.30 .......... I went in and stood in a puddle :-\

My daughter and her boyfriend have just converted a white van into a campervan- they're off to France in a couple of weeks :)

Tell them to take torches Salad with batteries and they will need breath test kits from Halfords, yellow hi-viz jackets on their seats not stowed away, GP stickers and if they are carrying bikes, a red/white stripped warning sign. Bucket. Bowls. Dried foods. Don't drink water unless in sealed bottles or boiled well. Tell them to ENJOY but do beware of migrants trying to get into the back of their camper on their return!!! Has happened a lot in recent weeks . I think that there are some areas in French towns : aires : where camping is free ;-)

Thanks CLKD- I'll run through the list with her. They have probably got a lot of the stuff to hand as they did travel a bit over the last year in a Bongo Campervan- France, Italy, Switzerland. This is an upgrade though and a bigger van. Now they want a dog to take around with them ::)

Im getting ready for holiday tomorrow- I started testosterone and strangely I seem more energetic :) and finally the little jobs that have been staring at me all summer have been cleared up this week! :o Majorca here I come 8) DD arrives 4 days after me :) - praying it's safe while we are there - xx

My son got a B in his RE GCSE, over the moon seeing as he did no revision & saw no point in taking the exam!!

Salad - dogs are great but very restrictive ;-). They need Passports too so finding a good Vet. is essential both sides of the Channel apparently ::)
Today is good: hasn't rained yet; warm enough to sit on our patio; roses, apples and sweet peas in abundance :)

My mum has finally agreed to use a walking stick to help stop her over balancing, after saying for weeks "I don't want to look old'"

Not old then ;D - we had the same a few months ago: mine decided that she wanted a trolley with a seat. So off we went to a very good mobility store, choose a design which they ordered: collected 5 weeks later - Mum pushed it up the garden, lifted it into and out of the garage; back into the garage, parked it with the words "Don't know why I bought that, I'll use it when I'm older" ::) - 91 soon :D

Ah your mum's are great - not old yet, my grandmother is 95 and a few years had to give in & use a walking stick! Bless them all

Back to earth with a bump :o well rested - well fed - Belfast welcomed me home with grey skies and miserable rain ;D fire blazing - extra blanket on the bed and sox! Ah it's good to be home ;)

I have a lovely daughter too who does similar things. It helps so much. sons don't get it (although one of mine tries, the other doesn't :()

She only has a Saturday job and it is about £50/£60 a bottle! I was so touched though and even filled up.
Yes I have to remind both my brothers when my mum and dads birthdays are, they always forget. Xxx

It's Friday it's a beautiful warm afternoon and I'm doing nothing except enjoying the weather and watching the birds on the feeders.

Me too two hoots 😊 when I'm up in Scotland, I sit and look out the window and see the loch and mountains beyond,it's a real stress reliever

It's great because easy morning anxiety lifted so I was able to eat a proper lunch and do 2 hours in our garden :great:

Is good because I don't have to do anything! Yesterday, I walked over 9 miles with friends and now I ache in places you wouldn't believe! I normally consider 3 miles a long way! And avoid steep hills! But the views were wonderful!

Its something you take for three months then stop for three months and so on but when I asked to go back on it in October I wasn't allowed due to bring referred for an endoscopy for reflux. Thanks for asking :)

DH has booked for us to go on a wine and cheese tasting tour today plus a tapas lunch.
We are getting picked up at 10am and should be back approx 6pm looking forward to it but don't what state we'll be in by the time we get back ha ha.

Two Hoots We lived in Wales for 15 years, hubby and I considered ourselves adopted Welsh and our son was born in Wales and even though we've moved back to England we still support Welsh rugby. Son has even ordered himself a grand slam t-shirt!!
