Title: Numb Hands Anyone?
Post by: Bobidy on March 21, 2020, 09:07:32 AM
Hi

Does anybody get numb hands during the night in bed? A bit like the sausage fingers feeling you can get on holiday when walking around in the heat.

I started with this when peri started and it doesn't go. If I sleep with my arms down by my sides it happens, if I sleep with my arms up it doesn't. I have to squeeze my hands a couple of times to get them going and they feel almost swollen but look fine.

It's odd but I assume another symptom?

Could it be carpal tunnel syndrome?  Do you hang your hands over the bed at night?

If you google carpal tunnel you can find out which nerve root is affected: sometimes it stems from behind the elbow or at the wrist.  I think  :-\

I get this sometimes, usually on the arm I'm lying on. There seems to be point towards the front of the arm just below the armpit, when this gets squashed it causes it. I don't think mine is related to meno.
