Morning ladies 😘
Here's a good tip worth sharing.Did you know that if you have a boots points card and you are over 60 you can apply for additional perks, you get 10 points for every pound you spend instead of the usual 4 points so it's well worth updating your card.i only found out because I needed a new card and went online to order and noticed it,sorry you “youngsters†will have to bide your time but it'll come to you lol.
Any more tips you'd like to share?? 😘 Jeanie

OH, I will definitely look into that one. My Boots card is one of only a few I now use. It got ridiculous I practically needed a separate purse just for store cards. ::)
-
:thankyou:
-
Better than a kick in the teeth though : every little helps ;)
-
Yes your right but I'm greedy 😘
-
Little steps .......... every penny picked up from the ground ;)

Thank you Jeaniewigs. I just checked my Boots account and the last order I put in, which was substantial and nearly all Boots own brand I only got 4 points per pound. They have my age in the database so do wonder why they don't activate it once we reach 60. I have been losing out for the last 7 years!!

Gosh has Daisydot gone again. Have I missed something. :o
-
Tempest has gone too.
-
Yes I'd noticed that too. Maybe they needed to take a break from the forum for a while

Hello ladies,
That's sad news. Let's hope they come back. Menopause can be an emotional roller coaster.

They let me know when I became 60. They send me a voucher for double points every year to be used in my birthday month. I'm saving up points to buy a new shaver to shave the hairs off my chin! ;D

This is a practical tip.
For cleaning badly discoloured brass.
Wipe or brush on Ketchup. Yes, the stuff you put on chips. Leave for about an hour, wash off and buff with a cloth.
Enjoy. ;D
-
PS. Really miss Daisydot. :(
-
Tomato ketchup gets rid of the smell and stains of fox pooh too. Apparently ;D
-
Wow CLKD, who knew.
Seriously though I do try not to use strong chemicals, if I can help it. Sometimes it is necessary.
-
Hmm ketchup on the dog, well I surpose then they would lick themselves clean 😂
-
It's been known for years. I live in Hunting Country which is flooded with foxes ........ I think it maybe the vinegar that works.
-
Definitely the vinegar..... I'm never without that and Bicarb....
-
Has anyone any advise on cleaning pandora charms. My daughter's have gone very dull.

Haha! Which is worse - the smell of fox poo on the dog, or tomato ketchup all over the furniture after applying it to the dog to stop the smell? Mine is a s*d for rolling in anything smelly.

Can I give a Christmas tip, I always wrap my presents on the ironing board ::) the height is perfect and I can do I in front of the TVs to make it less tedious. I still don't like doing it, the first few presents are quite nicely packed, but then it goes down hill very quickly ;D
-
My son in law's sister wraps christmas presents in brown parcel paper with a colourful bow and brown tag. It is quite effective and means that the paper can be used again.

Good idea Two Hoots,👍🏻
I'm going to do that this time.
It's always me that has to wrap everyone's presents, 🎁
bloody men have no idea. 🤷♀️

Pandora charms: did U look on their web-site for advice? Or go to a jeweller. Not good 2 over clean silver ;-)
-
Yes she did look on their web sight, but she ended up buying a silver cloth with a very mild solution in it which seems to have worked well.

DH uses Hob-bright ::).

I made a right mess of wrapping presents yesterday. They look poor. I cut the paper too small to wrap around the presents, tore holes in the paper with the sellotape, and even sellotaped the scissors to the present at one stage!. Disaster.

How about a roll of brown packing paper, cut out shapes from last year's cards and stick on? Bright enough? Mine will be lucky to get wrapped this year :-\
-
I haven't started yet!
Mind you, I've not finished shopping yet.
So they're all get wrapped in one day.
Looking forward to that..........not........lol.......😖
