Having read about ladycare and being v sceptical I thought I'd try ordinary magnets to see if there was any effect...maybe coincidence but since I started wearing them yesterday there has been a massive improvement in both number and intensity of flushes, from 20+ and very severe to about 7 and much less intense (about 3-5 out of 10). Magnets are 20mm across and 2mm deep, (much less bulky than ladycare) and cost about £4! :D hope this helps :)

Good tip Lexia! How do you "wear" them if you know what I mean

I have never tried magnets for the menopause but I do have a bit of faith in them for other things.
A dog that I had was helped hugely by a magnetic collar.
As Taz asked how do you wear them.

Like ladycare, two magnets one either side of the front of your underwear so they hold each other on :)

Ahhhh
Let us know how you get on and beware of shopping trolleys ;)

I'm thinking of trying the Ladycare, most of the reviews are about how it helps with hot flushes ( which I don't have, yet!! ) I'd be interested to know if its that good with aches and pains, anxiety and bloating?? ???
-
Estelle Don't waste your time or money on this. There is no scientific evidence or basis for it other than placebo!

Too late Hurdity, I've already ordered it  ::)
Oh well lol no harm in trying I suppose? Can't make things any worse ???
Will report back if anything improves ;)

I was going to order ladycare but will stick with what I've got seems to help my flushes for a fraction of the price :) :) 8)

Hi
I've got a ladycare magnet as my 2mg femoston sequi is not controlling my perimenopausal hot flushes and night sweats.
Here's the warning
I have read online in various places that ladycare magnets, and laptop computers don't go together, as the ladycare magnet can mess up the hard disk on your computer.
-
:o That's not good!! Does that apply to iPads too I wonder??

i dunno. i know some laptop hard drives have fluffed up with these magnets.
I put my magnet on in bed and I didn't sweat this morning, just woke up hot.
I'm desperate for a cure to these flushes and sweats.
-
It must be doing something then??
I don't get hot flushes as such although I do sometimes come over hot? And I'm sweating more and finding I need to use more deodorant :o
I'm hoping it might help with my anxiety, aches and pains and bloating? If it doesn't work for me I'll give it mum to try as she's post menopausal but still gets hot flushes and really red faced :(
