hi
just a quick question.. been harbouring a water infection for last few weeks.. tested at work today.. quite a bad one... been given strong anti b. for 3 day..hopefully do the trick - was just wondering can the infection cause tiredness? felt absolutely done in
-
Yep - definitely! Some water infections can make you feel really unwell especially if they become upper uti's rather than just affecting the bladder. Which antibiotic are you on as these can also make you feel tired? You need to rest as much as possible, difficult I know, and also drink lots of water to keep flushing the bacteria through.

Barley water? Diluted? I found the only way to feel anywhere near comfy was to sit on the loo so that all the muscles were relaxed - with a cuppa in one hand and a glass of fizzy water in the other. You ought to be off work whilst taking the ADs so that you can rest properly. Was your urine sample sent to a Lab. to make sure that you get the correct AB?

Hi. i am taking 200mg of trimethoprim twice a day..felt so sick last night... working today as cannot take time off - one of collegeues just been signed off for two weeks... drinking plenty and the burning sensation seems to have gone after two tabs x
-
They do work though!
How R U 2-day?
-
hi clkd :-)
still feel sick and headache but not sure if also bug.. one doing the rounds... :-/ 3 more tabs and im done ! symptoms def going. x

I would think it's the infection making you feel off colour. Do you intend to eat lots of LIVE yoghurt after you've stopped the ABs and do you have to take a sample in to make sure that the 'bug' has been killed?
:bighug:
-
why live yoghurt? yes will take another sample to work to be checked :-)

ABs can strip the gut and digestive tract = thrush ;). Great spoonfuls of LIVE yoghurt culture after the course has finished can replace the guts good bacteria.
