Title: Insuring your body
Post by: Joyce on November 26, 2014, 04:49:53 PM
Just read an article which made me smile about celebs who have insured parts of their bodies. Julia Roberts - smile. Jennifer Lopez - bum. Christiano Ronaldo - legs.

Now, if you had the money what would you have insured? Jury's out on me, but I would have said my teeth years ago. Sadly not these days. Now it would probably be my hair. It's still thick & when done nicely it looks good, so I feel good.

I know several musicians who have insured fingers/hands ………  ;)

My feet - 'cos on the better days I am able to go out and about whether it be walking or wandering round the shops.

eyes because if I lost my sight I could then pay for the best treatment if it could be restored. My sight is precious to me.

My hands because they are the only thing I am proud of. I hate the thought of having 'old' hands. Don't mind my face getting older but please not my hands. Love my nails long and painted. Can I still wear glitter polish at 61? Think not!

Why not bramble? I thought I'd never pull off glitter polish, but manicurist painted mine with a very subtle one a while back from Jessica nails. Clear with minute gold flecks. Really pretty for Christmas.

Not sure any insurer would take me on. Things are dropping, drooping, and falling off.
If I was a car I would not pass my MOT.  ;D

If I had to choose I would say my blobs as they are still in not bad shape.

I doubt I would get insurance for any part of me! Just been rejected by one life insurance company and another only offered a policy if I paid out a lot after they looked at my medical record. We both have had critical life insurance for years, which has gone up in cost considerably at a time when we want to reduce costs. The need for critical insurance is not so great, now we have paid off our mortgage, children have left home and both have pensions (very small in my case). Hubby went ahead, but it was cheaper to stick with what I had.

Whimsically, I rather like my nose, ears and my bum, so I would be tempted to insure those if I had money to burn!

I don't like my nose today. It keeps running  ::)

Ears are ok though. At least they are not jug handles.

I like my eyes they are large and green, skin OK and hair.

20 years ago I would insure the lot but not now.

Forgot my blobs, they are nice,  thank you NHS  :-* but no one sees them now but me.

Oh dear HB. Not best of days for that either.  I'm having a bad hair day. Now if it was insured could I make a claim?  ;D ;D

HB have you got vick sinex spray ( or any nose spray) that will stop your nose running for about eight hours.

(Doing some catching up on posts!)  Well, I'd insure my hands and my feet (maybe I actually should.....??) because I use them to play my notes!
