Bleeding after hysteroscopy
« on: October 30, 2025, 11:49:02 AM »

Has anyone had bleeding that has started two days after hysteroscopy/polydectomy? I was ok on the day and the day after with just light spotting but it's heavier today and bright red. Bit worried!

I would think that is totally  normal Kittykats but if you're concerned you could ring the department where you had the procedures done or ring your GP just for peace of mind  :)
I've had 2 hysteroscopies and bled on /off for about 7-10 days I think.

Thanks so much for this advice. I think it must be normal too! I'm good at post meno bleeding hence why I had it in the first place  :)

I had it done privately on workplace BUPA but I've just spoken to the consultant's nurse who helped with the procedure and she said it's an emergency  ::) She said the red flag is, I was not bleeding yesterday and the pain has slightly increased.

Can I ask was your bleeding intermittent?

If I remember correctly I bled for the first 2 or 3 days(maybe a little more) then it was intermittent .
I only had hysteroscopies though.

Hope all goes well for you....keep us updated 😊

I had a hysteroscopy with tiny cervical polyp removed and bled lightly but only till the day after.   I'm guessing everyone is different though and it will depend on the size of the polyp I think.

Thanks for your replies ladies. I went to A&E and they said not to worry. The rule of thumb is if it's one pad an hour plus clots then they worry otherwise it's normal. Because I had been active they said it has made the polyp sites bleed more and that I should have been told to rest which I wasn't!

You'll feel reassured then by that and it makes sense. Take it easy.
