Capsule Endoscopy
fiftyplus:
Thanks again my lovely for sharing your experience - much appreciated.
I get you as I am exactly the same - I am aware of the risks with the colonoscopy (perforation etc) but everything has a risk if you think about it and I just weighed up the risk with what actually needed done and then didn't think about the risk. I know it's not easy and I really feel for you - could you may be make an appt. with your GP for some guidance or re-assurance. Sending some virtual hugs your way

That is good to know. Did they tell you why it developped?
--- Quote from: Patsie on September 11, 2025, 10:55:34 AM ---I had a sharp pain appear under my ribs on the left hand side which I eventually was told after having a gastroscopy that I had a hiatal hernia. Everyone kept saying that hiatal hernias don’t hurt but mine did. After being put on a PPI and diet changes it eventually subsided.

Hiatus hernia is common. You only know you have it if you have a gastroscopy though.
