Localised itching
Mojo-swaptop:
It's really odd but I've noticed recently that I have itching that is localised to just one area, the top right quarter of my back, from my shoulder to about halfway down my back and it's always just this area and doesn't cross over to the left side of my spine.
As I can't easily see or reach my back my hubby has said there is no rash or anything that could be said to be the cause of the itching. He rubs some cooling moisturiser on it for me which eases it for a while.
It's just really bizarre that it's only ever in that area and no where else.
Does anyone else have localised itching in one specific area?

I sometimes get dry areas of skin that itch and it needs several days of cream twice a day before it gets any better. It's a bit hard when it's on your back as sometimes the difference is small and it might just feel a little rougher with nothing much to see. I have a patch on my face and that's always in the same place too.

I did. After my periods stopped. On my back below the nape of my neck, DH applied creams for several months. Always after a bath, as well as my insteps. I would wake with 1 ruff heel scratching the opposite one - thank goodness I'm not a spider ;D or I would have been restless all night.
Bananas cured my restless legs. Itchying continues to be intermittent though currently both DH and I have non-bite areas which require Antisan ::)
The other area that itches is where the nerve was cut when I had lymph nodes removed. Oh! and occasionally my appendix scar ..........

Hi Sheila99, dry skin can be annoying, I sometimes get flare ups of eczema so you have my sympathy. Thankfully it's not dry skin on my back, though if it was the amount of moisturiser that's been rubbed into it lately would have seen to it.
The itching I have comes and goes and sometimes feels like my skin is crawling. Being on my back it is rather annoying as I can't always reach to scratch. Thank goodness for an understanding husband who will scratch and moisturise for me.

Hi CLKD, thank goodness for rough heels haha, I've been known to do that too.
Is it the potassium in the bananas that help with the restless legs?
