Mind blown
« on: June 17, 2025, 07:09:10 PM »

I feel like i am about to burst. Sound crazy but I have just bought a house. Called to day at 3pm to view and have put an offer in. I have been looking for over 4 years for a place to buy, long story. Really 7 years of looking, and have recently been think about giving up on the dream to have a horse in the back garden. Hubby has walked in after putting the offer in and is just sat watching tv and I am going aaarrrhhhh. Just need to share with someone.

Might be better to look for one near a good livery yard?

Well done. Check your by-laws though as we're not allowed to keep horses in our back gardens where I live. Let us know how you get on!

I feel alpacas approaching  ;D and mayB a couple of rescue donkeys from the Sanctuary at Sidmouth where my sister's two went when she emigrated  8)

Make sure that you have good veterinary services close by, that they offer overnight stays on the premises and don't use other Surgeries for night care.  They have to provide 24 hour care but I didn't realise that this care could be farmed out!

??? photos ???

Yes lots to look in too down the line, we only put the offer in last night so early day. But i have chatted to a rescue center about adoption or fostering. Alpaca should be kept in trios really

Sorry, I thought you going to keep it in the back garden too. Good luck with it, there's nothing like having your horse at home, it's how life should be  :)
