First day Livial and diarrhoea

CLKD:
Have a look at the packet,  in the UK it would say how ethically sourced various plants are, i.e. palm oil.

Tez:
It’s a yam plant…definitely the answer I get when I google “what is Tibolone made from”.  Just googled it again now. The first definition I get is “Tibolone is a synthetic steroid hormone derived from the Mexican yam plant”.  So yes, but somehow derived from the yam plant.

Tez:
Which I thought was odd, and was surprised to learn this. The Australian Menopause Society also has this written on their Tibolone fact sheet.

CLKD:
'derived from' - i.e. it's a chemical synthesised from the yam plant.  Scientists work out what the active ingredients of plants might be, same with willow which produces aspirin.  There is no way that enough plants could be grown world wide to cover all medical requirements.

Think of palm oil: the millions of acres of clearance which destroys the environment and makes urang-utans homeless  :'(.  Yam I believe is used by those living in Jungles where it grows naturally ..........

Tez:
Ah ok, thank you
