I rarely read labels.  We have cut out ultra processed foods in the last nearly 2 years.  DH has always cooked from scratch other than the odd fish and chip supper or pizza.  Our families have always grown peas, beans etc.; I can't eat eggs in any form  :-\ other than a sandwich with cress.

Many of these 'additives' need to be taken in huge doses to have any impact at all.  Turmeric has been used in Asian cooking for Centuries, it's in recent years that it's suddenly become the 'go to' .......... biggest problem with turmeric is that it stains!
