. I'm eating quite a lot ....... to fill the energy gaps because dates gave me ........
in the bowel department .
So: hate it or love it; how do U eat it? My current choice is thickly sliced toast with butter followed by Marmite; or without butter at all. It's a job getting the product smeared thinly though

I love it.
On hot buttered toast, thinly spread. 😋
It’s really good for you. 👍

On cheese on toast, or rather on the bread under the cheese on toast 👍

When FinL came back in August 1945 after being 'in the care of the Japenese, 'helping' to build a railway, every1 was given a small pot of Marmite and a packet of fags.
Under cheese - now there's a thought.

I love sprouts, slightly salted and simmered for a few moments. Drained. They continue cooking in their 'shells'. Covered with butter and black pepper.
Avocados take a lot of water to grow so aren't really a 'green' fruit when picking and travel costs are considered. I still don't know whether I like them

They grow abundantly in Zimbabwe where I sent some time in my youth, had a tree and they just fell virtually on to my plate, so was pretty “green” when I used to eat them!

Morning CLKD
Africa gets in your blood so yes, Zimbabwe is/was a beautiful country with lovely people, visit my sister in the Falls when we can
and now my grown up children love it too! Perfect for a holiday and avocados

My Aunt was from Southern Rhodesia as it was so cousins half African. My eldest cousin has the country in his blood, feels like he's 'come home' on landing at Nairobi.

Hi Lesred, I had a friend from Zimbabwe years ago who used to make bacon & banana sandwiches - that lovely sweet & salty combo. I never knew whether it was peculiar to her family or a Zimbabwe thing? Your posting here reminded me of it
