2 periods this month on oestrogel - help!
« on: August 16, 2024, 01:01:18 PM »

Hi there,

Really need some advice, if anyone is willing!

Been on Oestrogel for a year with Utrogestan tablets on days 15-26. Have had no issues. This month though, I’ve had two bleeds which are not spotting but full on periods and have no idea why – but the thing that I’m in a flap about it when to start taking my utrogestan, as not sure when day 15 is now, as days of my cycle are all messed up now. Today is day 1 of this cycle, but I only finished my previous period last week. A little anxious as to why this is all suddenly happening too. Contacted my meno nurse but can’t get an appointment until next Thursday. Any advice would be appreciated x

Hi.  Hormones  ::).  Hopefully some1 will be along with advice about this regime.  What were your periods doing prior to beginning HRT?

Thanks CLKD. They were very regular before HRT. Suffered terrible sleep, anxiety and muscle aches beforehand though - which is why I went on HRT.

I've had this too, one was my own hormones, the other one the hrt cycle. Not much you can do about it. Medical advice is to carry on with the hrt cycle regardless but I found it better to change the hrt to fit my own cycle.
