The cold caused me more pain, but mainly in the nipples, made my boobs feel rock hard and really tender nipples, the usual shooting pain was at the side so very different. Eddie. x

Poor you, it is difficult sometimes to know what causes what, it just makes me remember what it was like, that's all gone now, thank goodness. Eddie. x

Have finally got to see the physio!

I felt a bit of a fraud as I thought it wasn't necessary, but in fact she confirmed that my boobs are affecting my posture and my spine, and that my muscles are extremely tight across my shoulders and back due to my 5' 3" body trying to hold them up. I also sit in a hunched position, due to the weight of my boobs and possibly because I'm subconsciously trying to make them as inconspicuous as possible, so I slouch with my arms held forward.

So I've been given exercises to do, which so far has made my pain worse, and she gave me a massage which left me feeling really sore! She confirmed that I won't be referred to a surgeon until I've had physio and can prove that it didn't help. If it does help, that's that - stuck with 'em for life.

Love that emoticon! Another gem from Larky! :clapping:

Well, I did go to a different GP about the pain in my ribs some years ago and he did suggest that I apply for a breast reduction, but I was scared of having an operation, mainly because my dad had died from MRSA a little while before that. Now I've finally got over that as not everyone who has an op gets MRSA, so I may take the chance now.

Aargh! You silly girl! >:(

I've changed my name, but I'm still Teen so look for the swan! My post a couple of places up will bring you up to date. It seems that my boobs are causing more problems than even I had realised.

Teen. I was the same with both ops i've had, because you have learned to live with the condition you don't realise on a day day basis that you are suffering, but what we do is cover up so much, so that we don't appear odd. Having pendulous boobs (as my surgeon called them) or even just bigger than you are comfortable with is both physically damaging and psychologically depressing. I went from a G cup to a D cup and he lifted my nipples up by 11cm.   :o
I go to physio for back and hip pain, at the first appt she told me my posture was really good, and i was pleasantly surprised because it certainly wasn't before that op.
Where do you go after physio proves to be useless?

NIECSEY. There is no point shouting at you, but if you don't get on top of this smoking thing you won't get your op, that you've waited for and dreamed about. Were you doing it through the NHS program?

Thanks Eddie!

My boobs are most definitely pendulous. I'm 5'3" with a short trunk and they reach down to my waist, and are so ugly!

I'd love to be a G cup, to me that's small! I'm a K.

Actually, I'm hoping that the physio doesn't work, as that will strengthen my case for needing a reduction, but I am being good and doing the exercises, which do hurt a little. And how can physio unbend my spine anyway? I'll be the like the Hunchback of Notre Dame in ten years time.

Even if she can straighten your spine, you then will need corrective surgery to maintain it? Eddie. x

My update: the physiotherapy has not helped with my pain at all, and if anything has made it worse, so she has discharged me and is writing to my GP, which will take two weeks. Why on earth does a letter take two weeks?

The physio is very supportive and agrees that I need to have a reduction, but thinks I will have to have an x-ray first. And so it goes on, and on..

I wore a tee-shirt today ( yes I know, they're the most unflattering things on earth) caught sight of myself in the mirror and could have cried. I look like a pair of boobs on legs, and they're so heavy and ugly. I'd look half the size I am without them. :'(
