That's so sad 

Headline tonight:

World Athletics has banned transgender women from competing in the female category at international events.

The governing body's president, Lord Coe, said no transgender athlete who had gone through male puberty would be permitted to compete in female world ranking competitions from 31 March.

A working group will be set up to conduct further research into the transgender eligibility guidelines.

Good,transgender women clearly have an advantage,what a mixed up world we truly live in

It was great to hear Lord Coe say "women deserve fairness". Men who have been through puberty have a massive advantage. A bit of testosterone suppression doesn't remove that advantage. The same reason adults don't compete against children, or the reason we have veteran's sports. It's all about fairness and not about who might feel a bit sad.

I wonder how many runners Lord Coe ran against who had taken steroids ........ "fairness approach"

BUT if we were to air these thoughts on social media,we'd be hung drawn and quartered,I'm glad these steps have been taken,whether you change sex or not,if born a man then you have a definite advantage in sports,did you see the black guy,sorry woman,who for the sake of his/her sport,he decided he was going to be a woman,blimey,he had muscles on his muscles,no way would a woman ever beat him in anything

Sharon Davis the swimmer spoke out 10 years ago ....... but was silenced and hushed down

Yep,she was on the news a couple of mornings ago,she'll no doubt get the hate mail from the minority now

It amazes me when sports people worry about what is 'said' on social media, switch it off if it bothers them?

So now we have a Sturgeon clone who will take the gender recognition debacle through the courts. Bad enough to have had a women telling other women they can't have safe spaces even worse when it comes from a man.
