Self-scan check outs are putting people out of work   >:( anyway, by the time I've read the instructions I might as well have joined a queue and paid ...........

This is the downside of the self-scan but as the store opens at 8am and the tills don't until 9am there is no alternative for an early shopper!

Hubby almost did something stupid this morning  >:(.  For 3 months he has been preparing to attend a Training Course which means he goes away early on a Sunday ...... I *was* up for a cuppa with him at 7.15 feeling nicely relaxed considering; then he wondered out loud whether there is a ring binder in the house that he can put his paper work into at which point my head began to whirl and race ........  :cuss: he's going to bring one home from work during the week  :D if we don't find one here but I am NOT the one who will be looking  ;)

My husband got ready for golf this morning, put his clubs and all the other paraphernalia in the boot, got in the car and went to start the engine. He thought "something feels wrong here" and then realised........... he still had his slippers on! It's not meno ladies - it's just age  ;D ;D ;D

I've had a session recently of really silly moments  >:(

2 weeks ago I left my reading glasses in the supermarket - I had put them on the end of the shelf near the till but couldn't see where!  I left my details in the reception area, an hour later they were 'found' so I was able to collect them.

a few weeks ago I mis-laid my mobile phone.  Thought it was in the cars so we eventually turned both out thoroughly - no phone.  We have boxes everywhere [see 'weve had words' post  ::) ] so I assumed the phone was in amongst boxes etc.; Hubby bought me a brand new mobile this morning from the above supermarket - got it home, sorted it, showed me how it works; went to another store after lunch, happened to ask if I had left my mobile there  :-* :-* :-* FOUND  :'( it has photos of the dogs I care for, 2 no longer with us ....... Hubby has bought me a pocket hanging thingy in which to store said mobiles which hitches onto the belt of my jeans [bless him].... of course now I won't know which phone is ringing  ;D

I fell asleep in front of the tv last night and when I woke up (feet on coffee table) I kicked a full glass of red wine over onto a cream rug  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

Now what do you learn from this Cupcake? I am surprised you didn't know this already but the answer is...... never, ever fall asleep while you still have wine in your glass  ;D ;D ;D

Our dishwasher went on last week when there were about 3 things in it and neither OH nor I could recall putting it on AT ALL, this worried both of us for a while and I started to think Alzheimers, but then he said he reckoned one of us had leaned on the button so we left it at that  ... it seems unlikely but perhaps the least worrying answer  :o Nothing much ever normal in this house anyway :-X

It was FLUFF!  A small piece of FLUFF which I have just chased down the hall thinking it was a spider  ::) ;D - which I could see as clear as mud once I put on my reading glasses  :)

Hi CLKD,  :)

This is what I did yesterday. Your mentioning spiders reminded me.

I was in a room at work and I saw this spider on the wall. I moved a bin totally forgetting the spider but when I looked I couldn't see it. Panic.  I took off my  hi vis vest, took off my  tabard then took off my t shirt. THEN I remembered where I actually was. In the mens toilets. Luckily it was the farmers toilet area where men don't go in there too often but I put my t shirt back on pretty quickly I can tell you. I couldn't believe I did that but I just couldn't bear the thought of that spider being on me somewhere. It wasn't a small one.

I'm always doing stupid things.

My late mum was once visiting a friend who asked her to remove a spider from her hall as she was too nervous to go near it.  My mum, not bothered, went up to the spider, couldn't believe her eyes ... went back in to the sitting room and said, 'Angie, that spider is dead and by the look of things, has been dead for some considerable time ....' :)
