Am coming into this topic rather late, but cleaned the WHOLE HOUSE last Saturday - and it took all day too.  Only because we were having visitors for lunch on Sunday and knew they would want to inspect - we have only just moved back in after our extension finished mid May. 

This weekend will need to clean the kitchen floor again (from cooking Sunday lunch) and "official" house warming party for the family - BBQ on Saturday.  Keeping fingers crossed for good weather.

will need to rush round quickly with hoover but not bothering to dust!

Today I decided to handwash all the cushion covers on my 2 piece suit - that was 8 covers in total. It took an hour of standing at the kitchen sink in this hot weather. I used the washing machine to spin them though, they are now out on the washing line but I think it is going to P down in a moment  .

Feel shattered now.

Hi CLKD,
I handwashed 2 'arm covers' first on an M&S sofa that said 'dry clean' & drip dried them on the line, they were fine so I chucked the 6 cushion covers into the washing machine on a 'delicate' wash & they were fine...just got to do the cover that goes 'all over' the sofa itself if you know what I mean 
i hate handwashing...life's tooooo short for that, everything that says 'handwash' goes into the machine on a delicate wash 
Go & make a cup of tea & put your feet up, you deserve it

Havn'et done many chores today.  Tireder today.  Tried to doze but my head was racing with all the cleaning I ought to be doing, then it began thundering, raining, now a helicopter is going over, ought to print off that list !

Just managed to squeeze the cushions back into the covers, you should have seen me it was a right old struggle. I've only done 2 of the 4 as the others aren't quite dry yet.

Hubby is at it now   on his hands and knees clearing out his bed-side cabinet ready for when he washes the carpet ..... oh the things he's found in there

My daughter put 2 of my cushions back in their covers, I was getting soooo frustrated, they hadn't shrunk, it was just me 
I think I need a cuppa  Oh & breakfast- not had any yet, but I have put washing on the line, another load just finished & put out rubbish/recycling early!! and washed the kitchen floor

well I've done little planned: but did clear the ponds of duck weed, put fresh sawdust and straw into the chickens' runs, collected 1 large hen egg and 3 pretty pullets' eggs  ; fed the cat with some sardines which she found a bit sticky  ; delivered some bits and pieces to a lady running a garden party for Charity this weekend; what's for lunch?
