I am having a new bathroom fitted which will be great when its done but this week is xxx. I had a new kitchen fitted 6 weeks ago so have just barely recovered from that and its off again.

So this week I have the worlds worst cold with killer cough, head feels like a pumpkin the usual. The plumbers have got the radio on loud enough to hear it to sing to over their hammering and drilling.  They both are proud exhibits of builders bum so that keeps me entertained in my debilitated state

My housebunny and I are hiding in one room as I can't let bun out of room or he will disappear down any pipe or hole in floor and I can't watch tele because I can't hear it for the radio.

It will be worth it in the end.  My darling husband was ill last week with the cold/cough and kindly donated it to me at the weekend

I don't mind builder's bum if it's attached to a fit front. If it's on a guy with a pregnant belly then it's a no no 

I used to work on building sites selling new houses. I was the only woman for miles and my daily entertainment was looking at builders bums.

    I agree builders bum on the fit is good.  One looks like an underfed 9yr old schoolboy ( he's really nice) and his side kick is the pregnant one with the muffin top at the back

  I just feel very old as all workmen now are younger than our son and I have to stop myself from thinking " are they old enough to know what they are doing!"  Bit like when you see the Dr and they have bum fluff for facial hair They call me Mrs xxx as well in a respectful tone of voice like they would an old person

Yes its a total new bathroom - everything out and all new stuff in different layout. We only moved in 4 months ago and the bathroom was circa 1980

Unbeknown to us all the valve inside our mains stop tap fell apart because the plumber has been turning it on and off so much.  Our other toilet cistern starting making dreadful noise ( a bit of stop tap valve had jammed in mechanism) and when husband took the top of cistern the part suddenly exploded and water was pouring out flooding our cloakroom.  Ran to stop tap which would not stop water as it was broken

Thankfully our plumber answered his mobile and he told us wehre in the road outside our mains stop tap was and we turned it off there.  Plumber will sort all tomorrow.

So with streaming nose and hacking cough I have just used 10 bath towels to mop up flood.  Husband has repaired cistern with bits for old one so phew
