Highlands are bonnie, lots of gorgeous scenery as has west coast. My favourite view is overlooking Tighnabruich, beautiful.

Dumfries is a very sad looking town these days but the surrounding area is lovely. The dark skies of the Galloway forest park....Just stunning on a clear night.

Lochinver's beautiful, too.  It's a bit of a trek to get there from the east side, but something of a paradise when you get there.

We're picking up our new caravan (not brand new but newer than our previous one) a couple of days before Easter - just in time to get a break in at our favourite campsite on the banks of the river Deben - lovely, unspoilt site with no real amenities other than a shower room.  The people at the caravan place thought it was hysterical that we were moving up from a 2-berth to a 4-berth so the dogs would have their own bed - asked them if they'd ever tried sharing a bed with two snoring greyhounds ::)

Eldis Avante 505 4/5 berth but with a side washroom rather than end leaving the other end as the houndies bedroom, complete with sliding door to keep them in there ;)

Lucky dogs  :)

It's something I have fancied off and on over the years. Unfortunately we have gone for a small car this time so it would not be possible to tow anything bigger than an egg box.

I have booked us a week in a cottage in a little fishing village in South West Scotland. We can't go too far because of mother and hubby is grumbling a bit about that. Also hoping to book a short break later in the year as its our 30th wedding anniversary.
