I'm still no further forward. Everything I suggest, himself turns his nose up at for whatever reason. Latest was a no to South Africa. 12 hour flight too long. Think it may be a last minute deal at this rate.

Young ones take straighteners everywhere don't they. Son & GF did a few days in a pod somewhere in thee lake district a few years back, but his GF only agreed if there was somewhere she could plug in. She took straighteners to Florida 3 years ago & never used them.  ::)

I quite fancy Prague, himself I'm not so sure.

Prague is lovely cubagirl - is it a city break you are after? It's a very very short flight away!

Have a good time CLKD.

Hair straighteners on holiday and camping too - what is with young people these days?  When I was a child we went youth hostelling (with parents and siblings) and at one of them we had to get water from a stream and wash in a hut! No room for luxuries then!

Prague off the list too Hurdity, but thanks.

So much easier when it's my year to choose. But himself turns 60 this year and I said he could decide where we're going.  Although I turn 60 in 2 years, which would be his turn again, so I'm going to be dropping very large hints!  ;D

I always refused to go anywhere that I could not plug in my hairdryer. I am not high maintenance but my hairdryer is a must otherwise I feel a right mess.

Too old for camping now. I like my home comforts  ::)

My hair goes frizzy in the heat when we go out and about on holiday so I have to have straighteners.
I just don't feel right if I'm not happy with my hair

Camping - no. Caravanning - no. Hubby insists that holidays are the time for us to be waited on. Who am I to argue?  ;D

CG - How about Corsica?
Spectacular scenery
Good food - French influence

At this rate it's going to be Blackpool  ;D

Has he given you any clues at all CG. You seem to have suggested most corners of the globe and been turned down.

I have a very sneaky suspicion that he knows fine well where he wants to go, but isn't sharing. I'm trying not to push him, but I'm finding it very frustrating. As for Blackpool, that's a definite no-no.  ;D

Watch this space.  ;)

That sounds a bit nippy CLKD. Hope you ran fast  ;D

I always got in a tangle in a sleeping bag, ended up like a cork screw.

Hate sleeping bags with a passion. Don't like being confined.

DH and I have a double sleeping bag for camping- I always make sure I'm on the zip side so I can stick a leg out to cool off if needed. ;)

With DH sound asleep, he acts as an anchor so no corkscrewing or falling off the air bed  ;D
