Vitamin D deficiency!

<< < (4/9) > >>

meno lesley:
Hi Purplenanny

I have just started to take some magnesium alongside the vit d as was reading that you can sometimes be deficient in both - here's hoping. I take 1000 vit d tablets plus one a month of higher amount. I do take hrt but to be honest I had pain before taking it. I have tried on several occasions to cut out the hrt but I am all over the show. Do dread when I have to give up.

In the early days I did get constant pain in night wherever I lay seemed to hurt, like a very deep ache in my bones but that seems to have gone with the vit d.

As I said before I do get terrible pains in my feet but hope that this will improve one day.

Hi lesley, my gp told me that it can take some time to build vitd back up, so hopefully if you keep going your feet may get better. I hope so for you as the pain is horrible. x x

meno lesley:
Do hope so, have been taking it for 6 months. Is your pain better than it was?

purplenanny:
yes it was but recently had a blip, as per my earlier post. Will stick with it - gp again in 3 months

nelliedee:
My husband, myself and my mum all had blood tests last year and all 3 of us had low vit d. GP said it was lack of sunlight. Hubby and I have taken vit D3 ever since but mum refuses to take anything, she is 81 and very set in her ways.  :)
