I'm looking for somewhere for the 2 of us to go in France for a week in July. OH would like to go somewhere different from where we usually go (Basque Country where we have friends). Countryside maybe with a pool, not too expensive! I've got exhausted with looking online.
We are going in May to a friend's house in France and I can't wait. May not be that sunny, but likely to be at least 20 degrees with sun some days.
I can't take much more of this awful weather  ::)

So where would you choose to go?

Oh somewhere like Haven would be nice. Plenty for our LO to do and we could explore a part of the UK we've not seen before :)

LO?  ???

We like - Northumberland around Craster, Anwick, Bamburgh; Sussex, particularly Brighton and Lewes; North Norfolk coastline is nice, Cromer, Sheringham, in-land to Holt.

As for France - DH loved Annecy last June  ;)

A bunagalow called Killimanjaro not far from Dornie, the village where Eilen Donan stands ........ on the west coast.  Driving from Glasgow, turn left into Glen Coe and the World changes.  Scenery to die for. We had 4 days on the Isle of Skye, everyone sunny and we ran out of words to describe the beauty.  The following week the road between the Bridge and Portree was washed away  :o

The North Norfolk Coast; Sussex; Northumberland; Wales; the Lake District; Derbyshire; Plockton ......... if we get the weather the UK is the bestest place to be

The West Coast is the prettiest but then again I would say that.

I love seeing all the islands on our coast and to me just open sea looks so strange.

Open sea can be weird and a bit scarey.  I too like the water broken up a bit, usually on the Cambrian Coast it's broken up by dolphins  :-*

My lovely husband has booked us a holiday :)  Not until September but he thought it would be nice to have something to look forward to - he's so thoughtful sometimes :)  Off to Fuerteventura again - we love it there and always stay in the same resort although this time he's booked a different apartment.

You enjoy!  I think once we have found a destination we are comfy with: and once we have done the sightseeing, it's time to soak up the warmth and ambiance of our choosen area  ;)

Off to Norwich again next week so have spent the afternoon looking on the net for stuff to do - have printed off LOADS and none of it weather dependant.  Should be meeting up with an internet friend for the first time who I have been in contaact for years, who will be in the City at the same time as us!

Thought last week that I would know what to pack  >:(  ::)

I've just booked fancy restaurant for when we're in Jersey. Always struggle to find something for Hubby's birthday. Never knows what he wants, blah blah. So that's his birthday sorted. Hope it's as good as reviews make it out to be!

We're going to Northern Portugal in June and I'm looking forward to it.  Never been before but it looks like we'll enjoy it. :)

Well we started the year with such big ambitions, holiday wise. But now it doesn't look like we can go away at all :(
We have my hubbys mum living with us, and he's her full time carer, pluse we have 3 dogs, 2 cats and marine fish, all of wich take some looking after, in the past my daughter and his have shared the chores which wasn't too bad, but they have now both moved out to their own places and even though his daughter will come to look after things (it is her nan) after some trouble recently (long story on the private forum) my daughter has said she doesn't want to help with his mum at all again. unfortunantly his daughter can only ever do 6 days at a time, as she works regular nights which somprise of 7 on 7 off. So the cruise we wanted is out the window, mainly because (it's 12 days) most of it is on her working week. But i've got my lovely memories to live on :)
Hope you all have fab times wherever you go, and if anyones thinking of taking a cruise and needs any advice just ask away and if I can help I will.
