Very hot this morning
15 mins of rain at lunchtime and thunder and torrential rain about 20 mins ago but it's stopped now doesn't seem to have made much difference to the temperature 🤒

Rain was forecast for 3.00 p.m., a bit exact that - until early tomorrow morning.  Still time I suppose?

Pulled back the curtains to see it is clouding up.

Browsing through the local new feeds, Met Office charts show the temperature in Milton Keynes is 34 degrees, a whole two degrees lower than nearby Newport Pagnell. Wolverton and Willen Lake all reached record highs of 36 degrees at 4pm.  Can't find anything for Norfolk or Northumberland  :-\

Haven't looked in our car yet today ......... the breeze is WARM when we open the windows  :o

Horrendous day at work today, 36° outside and 30 inside, had fans on but made little difference. Got home and straight in cold shower. I love it hot but not the humidity.

Train problems 'could last until weekend'

Severe disruption on the railways caused by "extremely high" temperatures could affect services on Friday, the Rail Delivery Group (RDG) has warned.

The RDG, which represents train operators and Network Rail, said there was "severe disruption" across the country but particularly around London and the South East of England.

Director Robert Nisbet said the heat was affecting metal track and overhead cables, with 20 out of 26 operators impacted.

Some passengers were stuck in a tunnel  :o when a train broke down  :-\

I've just thought, why am I sitting in my dress when I could be sitting in just my underskirt?  Dope!
