I think "that" was our Summer  >:( - 3 and a half days of lovely  :sunny: , at times nice enough to sit out with a cuppa - now it's like November  >:( and I am SO fed up with the cold wind  :-\

Hopefully the heavy rain as well as additional drizzle will seep into the newly planted veg and sweet pea plants.  Also might encourage slugs out for the hedgehogs :-)
