D'you want our rain CLKD - it's been here most of the day - we were supposed to be getting wood delivered today but have delayed it till when it's drier. What's the point of getting dry wood only to have it tipped onto soggy ground.

Been all sorts today, rain , sun and wind.

Good thing was I when I went to empty bins tonight I seen toad that has lived in our garden for years, every time I see him he gets bigger.  Daughter got ipad out to film him walking along wall of house.

Must be in the glens or mountains as according to their website it's to still be in double figures at night here.

Not unheard of mind you. In fact one year, about 20 years ago, it snowed on top of Ben Nevis in August. That summer had been scorching too.

Dull and dank.

Never mind Bertha hitting our shores tomorrow. Batten down the hatches ladies. National weather warning has been issued.

We returned from Florida 3 years ago to remnants of Katia. Worst landing ever at Gatwick. Daughter sat in front of us trying not to spew, turned round to find son's GF grabbing her seat doing likewise. Unbelievably bumpy.
