That was me attempting to be snarky, after you said "Never heard of her and she was 82 - one has to 'go' sometime" when I posted that Florence Henderson, a well known movie actress and who played the mother in "The Brady Bunch", had passed away. I felt your response was a bit harsh and abrupt when someone had just died.

Even though I genuinely don't know who Dot is, of course I wish her a happy birthday, and I would never have posted something similar if she had passed way. Sometimes it would nice if we all moderated our responses to things other people post, and not make abrupt and inappropriate posts just because we can. ;)

a myriad of different personalities are represented in these pages, and the typed word can be so unforgiving.  You just cannot second guess the tone which is where the smileys are so very useful  :)

Yes but sometimes smilies are used as a pass to make harsh comments which just aren't necessary in the first place. As all our grannies used to say.. if you can't say something nice, say nothing.

Anyway I've had my snarky moment which is very out of character for me. Over it.  :)

Brucie is 89 today - he's been out of the Limelight for months now so I hope that he is well enough to blow out his candles  :cake:
