Please remember that all herbal/alternative meds, that are sold in the UK, are now fully tested and regulated.  So long as you stick to a well known UK supplier, and no doggy overseas sites, there should be no problem.

If it helps, then it's NOT a waste of money.  It's a free country (apparently), and everyone is entitled to buy any legal product, if they so wish.  Even alcohol and cigarettes which really are dangerous.

Balance in everything.

My sister in law takes high dose of Black Cohosh (not easy to get here in the UK, has to be bought from the EU/USA), and swears by it for her hot flashes. If she stops taking it, they increase.
Didn't do anything for mine.
But if it works for you, just like HRT, needs to be monitored if using long term, and good to have liver function tests every so often.
