Hubby knows it well but I don't know it at all so he is in charge of the itinerary nearer the time because he knows where to go.  I am in charge of booking the holiday property and a hotel to break the journey up and down.

Why do things go wrong with our holidays? Some may remember hassle of 5 years ago organising family trip to Florida. 2 years ago BA messed up our homeward bound seating & had hubby & I sat several rows apart, which set off my anxiety big time. Well BA kindly messed up things again with our trip to NY next week. Our flight home from NY didn't exist, despite having paid for it. Took a while, but hubby got it sorted. Tonight I was checking things, just to be sure. Well they may have rearranged our return flights, but not the transport to the airport. So hubby is going to have to phone them yet again!!! Arghhhhhhhh

Have booked my holiday for 2017 already (going to Crete in May), but at the moment trying to organise getting out to Vegas in November to visit my friend who is spending 3 and a half months traveling in the States and then ending up with a few weeks in Vegas. I have just moved job locations in the middle of annual leave so I have no idea if I can even get the leave or not yet, and I am still waiting for them to sort my shifts and working hours out.  I don't even know what time I am supposed to turn up next week yet!

We've just booked  4 nights in Somerset and a couple of nights in Oxford for July.  We've planned to visit the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes International Motor Museum and Pecorama whilst in Somerset, Longleat on our 'changeover' day, have a wander round Oxford and find Morse/Lewis/Endeavour locations, and go to Bletchley Park on our way home!  Busy week, but I'm looking forward to it.

It should be lovely Sparkle - it will be nice to go somewhere different (we have a static caravan, so virtually all our holiday time is spent there), but it does mean I have to put my little dog in 'jail' (kennels!) for the week, and she has to have kennel cough vaccine - it makes her cough  :'(  I feel awful putting her through that so we can go away - bad doggy-mummy.

Well here was me worrying about how much I could cram into hand luggage. Quite a lot & currently weighing in at just 7kg!  Impressed myself. My hand luggage is slightly smaller than recommended too.
4 t-shirts, 3 tunic tops, 2 pairs trousers, 1 pair shorts, I dress, undies, 1 pair sandals, PJs, small shoulder bag, makeup bag.

Scampi our dog doesn't go to kennels but he doesn't come on holiday with us, he goes to a minder who looks after him in her own home.

He gets so stressed and upset in strange places and out of his routine that he is much happier going to the same place and we can relax knowing he is happy and well looked after.  He usually sends me a text message to say he is fine but how he manages the buttons with his hairy paws I really don't know  :)

Did the Morse tour many years ago, but still remember it. Our guide was fantastic.  I really must try and revisit Oxford
