I have this, due to allergic rhinitis  ......... clacky throat all day long, must be so annoying

me too, post nasal drip.  Sometimes the stuff wraps itself round my vocal chords and I get a hoarse voice.  I have a steroid nose spray for when it is worst.

Some foods make me clear my throat, tonight it's garlic

Hi Millykin, sorry just read your post,

I was given Eklira for a form of COPD, i am a non smoker but have a narrowing of the upper airways. I can't say if it is doing any good  though as the last time i went to the GP's for my lung function test, i was just getting over a chest infection and they wouldn't do it so will have to wait until next one to see if there is a difference. It hasn't contributed to my throat clearing as i have had this off and on for a good few years.

Thanks for reply, I was also given it for mild COPD but only lasted 2 weeks with it, I found it irritated my airways.
Throat clearing thing has been with me for few years so annoying.

Nervous system can cause this i had abdominal migraine my symptoms started with constant throat clearing xxxxx
