Need some advice please
Kaz:
I have just found out that I'm in the early stage of the menopause,Im 44.
Im very tired, emotional and so irritated by everything, apart from that Im fine, not!!
Can I ask do symptoms change? At the momment Im not getting flushes etc,and I'm trying to stay active and excercise regularly.Does this mean that the flushes may come later.
Sorry if this seems like a daft question.

I was like you Kaz about five years ago when I was 41. I had very bad anxiety and lots of weird and wonderful symptoms that seemed very unconnected. I was also having extremely heavy, clotty periods. I began having very bad night sweats at the same time as terrible sleep and the penny finally dropped! I now take HRT for oestrogen and have a Mirena coil for progesterone. Thankfully I haven't had any day time flushes, it seems to be very different for different ladies.
This forum has been a mine of information and support for me.
Keep asking questions!

Everyone is difference I suppose, I started off with night flushes, then really bad tiredness, snapping nails, boobs went like 2 empty balloons lol
I'm on hrt now (I'm 39 btw)
Feel back to normal again apart from headaches

Hi Kaz
Looking back, my first symptoms were very similar to yours. Night sweats came next (which is when I realised that peri was probably the culprit) and then various other symptoms. Not everyone gets them all, by any means. My friends are all "floating through" with little more than a few sweats. I'm one of the unlucky ones, I'm afraid and
my symptoms became unbearable but then I'm also "lucky" in that HRT has sorted it all for me. Hopefully, you'll find that you'll get through it all relatively unscathed. ;)
