30th birthday ideas?
(1/1)
MumofMany:
It's my 30th birthday in August and I was planning on having a big party, but we'll be in the middle of building works by then so it seems like a bad idea... I have no clue what to do instead though. I was thinking of maybe renting a hall or something but it seems a Saturday in the middle of August is impossible to find space for! LOL Money isn't too much of an issue so I was wondering if anyone had any idea's. I've never really had a big birthday celebration so I was thinking of something relatively big or exciting...
I wondered about hiring a party boat on the Thames around Windsor (where we got married)... But that's quite a distance for my friends and family to go to get there...
cubagirl:
Pub, small local hotel maybe. How about 10 pin bowling or carting.
Dyan:
I booked a room in a hotel for my 50th last year with disco & buffet.
I made a playlist of all the music I loved throughout the years for the DJ to play.
My theme was purple ( cos I was a Donny Osmond fan in the 70's)
and I did sml bags of retro sweets for the tables.
My hubby and I stayed overnight too ::)
CLKD:
If you live near a canal maybe there are boat trips closer than Windsor? Or perhaps you go away for the actual birthday and arrange something for later say mid-Sept., when the 'rush' is over in Hotels etc.? Is there a theatre where a block booking would give you the opporutnity of a meal first/after a Show?
jgr:
Take yourselves away to somewhere hot and get away from this wet horrible rain we all seem to be having. ;)
