Diamond Jubilee

Are you or your street/village/neighbourhood doing anything to mark Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee at the beginning of June? Or are you going to watch quietly from the sidelines? Or do you prefer to ignore it all together?
Have any of you met the Queen? Please share your stories with us.

Yep. Street party being arranged by our neighbours .......... hopefully the day *will* be fine.

I will probably watch all that's on tv but that's about it.

Met her about 15 years ago when she visited my ex work place. Thousands were spent tarting the building up for the visit when people's jobs were at risk. Rather disgraceful I thought. We purposely timed our visit to canada for the jubilee week so I will be far too busy to take any notice. Sorry im not a royalist so hope I dont offend anyone we all have our own opinion.

We are going to vancouver then victoria then to winnipeg to see family then to toronto. We have waited several years to do this trip due to my surgeries.
