Same here LD. I know mum knew I loved her, but when when you don't get the chance to tell someone you love dearly how much you love them......
That is one regret I will never come to terms with.

I don't have any regrets in life - except one!  It is so stupid I cannot believe it even bothers me.  Anyway when my eldest daughter was born we picked a beautiful name for her.  When I told my aunt what it was she asked me how I was going to spell it - I told her and she said you can't do that you need to spell it this way - I regret listening to her.

I wish I had spelt my daughter's name with an 'S' instead of a 'C".  My daughter is like her dad and is incredibly shy - spelling her name with a "C" has caused her so many problems throughout her life that it drives her mad.  People pronounce it wrong and then they make a fuss of how nice her name is.  She has often said could you not have given me a normal name!  I have suggested to her on many occasions that we change it on her birth certificate but she has resisted and says despite the fuss people make she quite likes her individuality.  So now she is 20 she is ok about it but I still occasionally say why did I spell it that way - i do however need to let it go because if that is my only regret in life I am doing fine! xxx

Oh know a bit what that feels like h&s.  When we named our daughter - we got why did we choose a catholic name? Eh what?  It's a French name.  We had chose our son's name years previous to his birth and got "could you not have thought of something different, there's already someone in the family with that name!"  All from hubby's side of the family.
Why do names cause so much family friction?  Maybe that should be another topic.

I'm with you beaglelady.  I had endo too and never had any children.  Don't beat yourself up about it too much though - even if you had known earlier and had adhesions removed you might not have conceived.  It wasn't until I was 40 that I discovered that I had a split womb and would never have been able to carry a baby to term anyway. 

Only other regret is that I couldn't live more than one life to try lots of different ways of living them!

Family names-i gave my daughter a greek name instead of a Turkish name, i did'nt know at the time until the old bat, compalined about it, oh i just love it.

the only thing I really regret is that on the day my mother died and was asleep the whole day before she passed on I didnt ask her to squeeze my hand if she could hear me. That is my biggest regret.
Other than that I dont regret anything, life is about making mistakes and learning from them

I regret the horrid things I have said to Himself over the years    ... I regret having to take my 2 cats into rescue because I was too ill to care for them  .... I regret letting down a boyfriend when I was 15 by not telling him it was over and I regret letting down a girl-friend by breaking an agreement
